There’s nothing like a Friday.  Somehow the world around me has a different feel to it.  The weekend is here and it’s time to wind down.  The snow is falling, the heat is blasting, the coffee is brewing and fluffy socks are on.  The dawn has broken and it’s a beautiful day.

Let me just tell ya what you need to do today.

  • Relax.
  • Treat yourself.
  • Call up a friend and drink something hot together.
  • Forget the stress of the week and live in the moment.
  • Take a deep breath.
  • Open the curtains, pull up the blinds and let the daylight in.
  • Eat some fresh fruit and veggies today.
  • Take a hot bath.
  • Drink an extra glass of water.
  • Read a book.
  • Wear a sweatshirt.

There are a lot more ways to relax but those are some of my favorite.  If Friday isn’t a good day, find your day.  I like Fridays because Josh comes home and stays home for the weekend.  And even though there is no weekend off from being a mommy, at least I have extra help.  =)

Stress is bad for your health, so it’s nice to just set aside time to relax.  Put your to-do list aside for an hour and do yourself a favor by taking it easy.
